Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant are jumping back in the canning game just in time for spring. This round, they have thrown their summer wheat ale, Mahalo, Apollo!, back in 16-ounce cans. The complex golden beer is available as of Fri., April 1 (no fooling!), in take-out four-packs and on draft.
More on the beer: Its name, Mahalo, Apollo!, loosely translates to, “Thank you, Sun God!,” which drives home it’s super refreshing appeal—especially for the warmer months ahead. It’s spiced with Grains of Paradise and lemongrass, and fermented with Belgian yeast, which keeps this beer interesting sip, after sip.
Also on special for April, Iron Hill will double down on the Hawaiian influence with their limited-time Huli Huli Wings. Tossed with habanero-mango sauce and pineapples, these sweet and spicy wings prove to be the perfect pairing to Mahalo, Apollo! For those who want the wings and the beer, all 11 locations through April will offer a special of 20 wings and either a four-pack of cans or a 64-oz. growler fill of Mahalo, Apollo!—all for just $25.
In addition to the company-wide can release and tapping on April 1, an official release party will throw down on April 2, 1–5 p.m. at Iron Hill’s Wilmington location. Be warned: cans of Mahalo, Apollo! are available in limited quantities only, while supplies last.
Visit Iron Hill at one of its 11 locations, including in Pa., in Ardmore, Chestnut Hill, Lancaster, Media, North Wales, Phoenixville, West Chester; in New Jersey, in Voorhees and Maple Shade; in Delaware, in Newark and Wilmington.
