Philly Craft Spirits Week is your chance to celebrate nearly 50 locally-produced premium spirits products produced in and around Philadelphia since craft distilling resumed in 2011 after being abolished by Prohibition on January 17, 1920.
A huge selling point of the whiskey fest is its industry tasting and panel discussion focusing on education for area servers, bartenders and restaurant and bar managers and owners, which will feature representatives from all of the 12 local participating distilleries. Participating distillers include Dad’s Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey, Bluecoat American Dry Gin, New Liberty Distillery, Manatawny Still Works, Bluebird Distilling, Rowhouse Spirits Distillery, Five Saints Distilling, Cooper River Distillers, Hewn Spirits, Stateside Urbancraft Vodka and Palmer Distilling Co.

In addition to its premier event, booze lovers can expect a variety of on-premise specials, features, tastings, dinners and pairings to unfold throughout the course of the week. Many—if not all—local distilleries aforementioned above will take part in the week-long festivities. Highlights of PCSW include: Oct. 30 — a cocktail competition at Heritage (916 N. 2nd Street) for professional bartenders and mixologists; Nov. 4 — a closing event at Martha (2113 York Street). A full list of events will be posted on the PCSW website in the near future.
