The Menzingers are a staple of the local punk scene. They also happen to be really into craft beer. We even did an article with them talking about craft beer, music, and how it all comes together. This Friday, they’re releasing a new album entitled After Party and to celebrate, their friends at Neshaminy Creek Brewery are releasing a pair of new Menzinger collaboration beers.
The first beer, simply named Menzinger, will be available in 22-oz bottles at the brewery starting Thursday, February 2nd. The collaboration beer, as Neshaminy describes it, is a “hoppy and bastardized Imperial German Pale Ale brewed with German malt, German and American hops, and fermented with a German Kolsch yeast again.” This is actually the second time this beer has been brewed, but the first time it’s ever been available in bottles.
The second beer, aptly named After Party, is a crushable 4% ABV Irish-style Dry Stout brewed with English maris otter malt and conditioned on Reanimator coffee. The beer will be available on draft for the first time at Kung Fu Necktie on February 3rd for the sold out album release party, but don’t worry if you weren’t able to get tickets in time. After Party made it’s way into cans as well which will be available at the brewery the next week.
Did you miss the 3 Round Draw article we did on them? You can check out the article below and get to know the band a little better before heading to Neshaminy later this week to get your fill of their beers.
