Lucky for you, you can spend an entire weekend—from Sat., Jan. 28 through Sun., Jan. 29—appreciating their stunners at their Second Super Barrel Weekend. This exclusive event will take place at The Tap Room at Weyerbacher Brewing with tickets available at $25 per person—each includes (4) 4 oz. pours.
3 sessions will be offered over the course of Second Super Barrel Weekend. They are as follows: 2 sessions on Saturday (noon–3:30 p.m. and 4–7:30 p.m.) and 1 session on Sunday (noon–4 p.m.). Grab your tickets here.
What’s in store for their second annual event? Offerings will include twists on some of Weyerbacher’s seasonal barrel-aged beers, as well as experimental and trial batches. The lineup is set to include: 2014 Sunday Morning Stout (Aged 10 Months), Sunday Molé Stout in Tequila Barrels, Blasphemy (Aged 12 Months), Tiny in Port Barrels, 2014 Insanity and more. Barrel-aged beers will be available in 4 oz. and 12 oz. pours only; no growler fills. More details on beers to be featured here.
Okay, it gets better. The Tap Room will also have live music during the weekend, featuring the Public Displays of Rejection (on January 28) and Serene Green (on both days, Jan. 28–29). Food will also be available for purchase from Peculiar Culinary Company on both days.
If you’re a Jester’s Court member, you’ll be able to preview the beers available at Super Barrel Weekend one day early, on Fri., Jan. 27, 5–7:30 p.m. First 4 oz. pours will be compliments of The Tap Room.
Can’t make it the weekend of Super Barrel Weekend? Weyerbacher has big plans and changes for 2017.
Short list of what’s to come below:
Previously available year round, Tarte Nouveau will now be available as a special release (2017 availability not yet determined). Seasonal offering, Blasphemy, will now be available as a special release (2017 availability not yet determined). AutumnFest, a seasonal beer typically available in August, has been retired by the brewery.
Several special releases introduced in 2016 have been added to the regular lineup. Mellow Monks, a 4.5% ABV refreshing Belgian-style ale, has been added to the year round offerings. Sunday Molé Stout, an American Imperial Stout that captures everything you’d expect from a traditional mold tied with coffee and chocolate, will now be released annually in September. Berry Monks, a variation of Merry Monks brewed with cranberries, orange peel and ginger, will now be released annually in November.
