Neshaminy Creek Turns Five

In it’s brief five years of existence, Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company has made a huge impact on the local brewing scene. They’ve become a fixture in the market and a perennial favorite of the public. (They’ve cleaned up the last three years at the Best of the Philly Beer Scene awards winning Brewer and Brewery of the year each year.) They also recently opened a new location in Jenkintown and are looking to open a third location in the Fishtown neighborhood. Fittingly, when they have an anniversary, they go big and throw a huge party to celebrate.

This years anniversary party will be on June 10th at their original, Croydon, PA location. Head brewer/owner, Jeremy Myers has a background in the music industry founding the punk rock focused label, Jump Start Records. He started the label out of his college dorm twenty years ago and still keeps it going strong alongside the brewery. Needless to say, the anniversary parties at the brewery focus around the music. In years past he’s brought in The Suicide Machines, Andrew W.K., The Slackers, and The Pietasters. For year five, the performances are headlined by punk legends Samiam, who will be performing in the Philly area for the first time in over five years.

Alongside Samiam will be performances from one of Philly’s finest rappers and Dock Street Brewery collaborator, Chill Moody (Keep an eye out for #nicethings IPA to release in cans soon). Other acts include ASTPAI, Crucial Dudes and Divide by Zero.

As for the beer, well there will be a ton of limited options making an appearance for the party and the release of their anniversary beer, Fivefold Pillow. Fivefold Pillow is a 2 year Cabernet Sauvignon barrel aged version of our Tribute Tripel conditioned on peaches and raspberries. Tart, and dry Fivefold Pillow comes in at 9.5% ABV and like Tribute Tripel, is deceptively crushable and shows noticeable barrel qualities of grapes paired with the stone fruit and bright raspberries it was conditioned on. Only 500 bottles will be available and they will be $14 each with a two bottle limit. Here is the rest of the draft list:
