Goose Island’s Migration Week Returns to Philadelphia

The Goose Island team is gearing up to return to Philadelphia for its annual Migration Week come early August. All week long, from Aug. 2–6, the Chicago-based brewery will be throwing down events with local chefs, charities and businesses for locals to discover—and rediscover—their beers.

Wednesday, August 2, 7 p.m.–midnight, at Garage South (1231 E. Passyunk Ave.)

Migration Week Kickoff: Chicago Pop-Up Bar 

The Goose Island team will be giving Garage Passyunk the Chicago, late-night bar treatment complete with Chicago-style hot dogs and tamales. Meet their brewers and enjoy a lineup of Goose Island beers, including Goose Island Cooper Project #1, Four Star Pilsner, Goose IPA and 312 Urban Wheat.

Thursday, August 3, 5:30–7 p.m., La Colombe Coffee (1335 Frankford Ave.)

Beer and Coffee Class

The gang at Goose Island Beer Co. loves their coffee like they love their beer. They’ve partnered with La Colombe Coffee to bring you a unique pairing of local coffee and Chicago beer. Learn the craft and science behind both a delicious cup coffee and a pint of beer. The event concludes with attendees being able to create their own unique blend of both. Free; RSVP here.

Goose Island Presents – Good Old War & Twin Bandit

Goose Island has pulled together the critically acclaimed Good Old War, with special guests, Twin Bandit. Plus, they’re bringing a whole lineup of their best beers to help get you in the groove. Tickets:$22.50 – $35.50, available HERE.

Friday, August 4, 8 p.m.–midnight, Garage Fishtown (100 E. Girard Ave.)

Chicago Pop-Up Bar is back—this time at Garage North

Expect rare beers that never leave Chicago and the brewery’s favorite hometown chef, Matt Troost, busting out tasty Chicago classics! Beers to be featured include: 2016 Proprietor’s Bourbon County Brand Stout, Goose IPA, Four Star Pilsner and 312 Urban Wheat.

Saturday, August 5, 5–7 p.m., Total Wine & More (691 Naamans Rd., Claymont, Del.)

Beer & Cheese Class

Take the quick trip to Delaware for a curated line-up of GI beers paired with a variety of carefully selected cheeses. The beer and cheese class is a journey through the nuances and complexities of uniting drink with food. Beers to be featured include: 312, IPA, Sofie, Matilda and Bourbon County Regal Rye. Event is free!

Sunday, August 6, 11 a.m.– 2 p.m., LIFE DO GROW Farm (2315 N. 11th St.)

Sofie Brunch with Philly Urban Creators

Goose Island is always down to support local organizations, so they’re bringing their good friends from Chicago, Bang Bang Pie Shop, to join them in putting together an amazing farm-to-table brunch at Philly’s inspirational urban farm, LIFE DO GROW Farm. Bang Bang Pie Shop will preparing the meal on-site while the Goose Island Beer team pours Sofie and Sofie-mosas. Space is limited and RSVP is required + $10.
