The women of the local craft beer scene are coming together this weekend, August 12th, for an educational seminar. The USciences Brewing School and the Pink Boots Society have partnered up for an afternoon seminar discussing the roll of women working in the industry.
The Seminar will open with a keynote speech from Boston Beer Company brewer, Megan Parisi. The keynote will then be followed up by a brewing panel featuring female industry leaders in the region:
- Colleen Rakowski (Free Will)
- Aimee Garlit (Dogfish Head)
- Lynn Pronobis (Union)
- Mary Izett (columnist, author)
- April Anderson (Country Malt)
For those who wish to network more, there will be a pay-as-you-go brunch held at City Tap House University city. Tickets to the event are only $15 if purchased in advance and 100% of all proceeds support the symposium, Pink Boots Society, and scholarships for women in the brewing industry.
Tickets and more info on the event can be found here.
