If you haven't heard yet, Hansen Beverage Co., a $1 BILLION corporation and the makers of Monster energy drink, are threatening the Rock Art Brewery in Vermont with a lawsuit if they don't stop using the name Vermonster because it might confuse customers. This is absolutely absurd. Two products in VERY different markets. This is just another case of corporate America trying to pin the little guy under their thumb. I think most people can differentiate between an energy drink and a beer. Also, I think the majority of literate consumers can tell the difference between a can that says Monster on it sold in convenience stores, and a bottle of beer that says VERmonster on it, and sold only in bars, take-outs, and beer distributors. (Don't troll and tell me that beer is sold in convenience stores in other states- it's not like that in PA, and I am well aware of that, so leave that argument alone... ha, ha) Anyways, Matt from Rock Art Brewery explains it best, so check out the video on Rock Art Brewery's website, and like so many other craft beer lovers out there, myself included,
BOYCOTT HANSEN BEVERAGE CO, AND MONSTER ENERGY DRINKS!!!
